  • Who we are:

Our style is documentary and artistic. We enjoy being able to capture people being people, with minimal to no interference. While we do guide clients through their session, we try not to pose people unless it’s during the portrait session. Our mix of natural light, photojournalism and classic portraiture is our love and why we do what we do.

The Twin Town family is always growing to keep up with our expanding clientele. Speaking of clientele, we love creative clients. We document the sunny afternoon wedding spent with family and great friends, and the crisp, colorful day the family gets together for that fall family session. But let's get real, documentation isn't the only thing your looking for, right? As art lovers, we focus on your style, beauty, funny laugh, shyness...Whoever you are, your portfolio will be stunning...

We also believe in a simple, straightforward approach to the business side of booking a photographer. We offer flat fee sessions that always include all of your high-resolution files and the rights to print them...Simplicity at its best...

Wanna talk about your big day? Or schedule a family shoot for the holidays? Email or call us, we can't wait to meet you...

Engaged: Ellen+Carlos

This week I’ve been in Southern California preparing for the great Mexican-American wedding of Ellen and Carlos.  Its always refreshing to travel and shoot in a different location, but the best thing lately that I’ve really been loving is the weather! Mid-west photographers are probably the most diverse with sessions when it comes to figuring out what to do in case it: snows in May, pours down buckets of water during a heavy week of scheduled shoots, or the humidity gets so bad you think your client might melt. Bottom line- shooting in Missouri keeps you on your toes…

But I have a saving grace…I’ve been traveling outside of Missouri to work with clients.  A month ago I worked with Ellen and Carlos for their engagement session in downtown Los Angeles.  The markets were filled with the hussle and bussle of people, colorful fruits and flowers, tasty local foods…it was simply wonderful, colorful, playful…and the weather, perfect.  And I don’t think their wedding this weekend will be any different…congrats you two

The Good Aunt: always have a camera

Ohhh, Easter. I try to be a great example for my nieces and nephews, so when I decided to have an Easter weekend sleepover, I wanted to make sure they knew what we were really celebrating. I think in the way we celebrate holidays, the message of who Jesus Christ is gets lost in translation. Its gotta be a little confusing to the kids, mixing hollow chocolate bunnies and simple theology of why we celebrate Christ that weekend. After Grandma Pat dropped off the fully loaded Easter baskets, we decided to sit on the front porch and opened baskets as it was so nice outside on Good Friday. While telling them what Good Friday and Easter are all about and that its an exciting part of being a Christian, my nephew Kain yelled “YAY, Jesus is dead!”…which quickly caused all the kids to start chanting “Jesus is dead!!!” I’m sure my neighbors were fully entertained as I tried to backtrack and re-tell the story, making the point of “Jesus is alive”- sure he had to die first, but it didn’t end there. So between bites of waxy chocolate and candied eggs, the kids listened and asked questions…It was a really good Easter for me.  The entire time I had my camera with me, just photographing the evening as it unfolded.  Being a good aunt means many things, but today was about always having the camera ready and documenting the kids as they grow up…xoxo

Big City Session: Los Angeles

I’m headed to one of my favorite places in the next few weeks, so that must mean…

Big City Sessions 2013 Twin Town Studios Los Angeles April

I have one week in sunny southern California and I’m booking Lifestyle sessions! I’m so excited to meet the cute, new family that I’ll be working with to get some great “life as it happens” photos.  Then mid-week I’ll be switching gears for  a modern head shot session with a missionary, and then to finish off the week-a hip, downtown engagement session. Beyond excited to do what I love…

Wanna get in on the action? Here is some info…
